How to Take Care of Commercial Vehicle Wraps

In the last couple of years, the way businesses advertise and promote themselves has undergone a massive change. Traditional forms of advertising such as newspaper and television ads have become almost obsolete, with more and more people choosing to stream shows and read news online. Commercial vehicle wraps, however, have continued to remain popular. Depending on how long the vehicle is on the road and how far it travels, vehicle wraps can offer unlimited exposure. Moreover, they are consumer-friendly, non-aggressive, and hard to miss, making them an excellent choice for promoting your business and getting your products and services out to potential customers.

To make sure your vehicle wraps last for a long time, here are a few things you should do to take care of them and keep them looking their best:

Wash your vehicle once a week

If your car appears dirty, wash it. Ideally, you should wash your vehicle once a week. This will help get rid of dirt and other contaminants before they become more stubborn. Use an automotive sponge or a clean, soft cloth to wash the wrap. Make sure, however, that you don’t use any abrasive cleaners or polishes.

Spot clean stains

If you notice isolated stains, spot clean immediately. You can use isopropyl rubbing alcohol to do that. After cleaning, rinse the area with cool water.

Clean bird droppings, tree sap, etc. as soon as possible

Do not let stains, such as bird droppings and tree sap, sit for too long. Once they dry, they become much harder to remove and can cause permanent damage to the wrap. Wash the area with a solution of warm water and soap, rinse it, and then pat dry with a microfiber cloth. You should test the solution in a small area to ensure that the wrap isn’t damaged.

Store your vehicle under cover

Commercial vinyl wraps can be degraded with prolonged exposure to sun, rain, and wind. So, you should store your vehicle under cover or in a garage. If you notice any part of the wrap starting to fade or discolor, remove it to avoid staining the paint on the body of the vehicle.

Commercial vinyl wraps are a great way to advertise your business and promote your brand among a wide target audience. But to get the most out of them, you should work with a professional graphics design and installation company that can take your idea and turn it into a successful marketing tool for you.
